The Giver
The Giver is a novel written by Lois Lowry in 1993. The story focuses on a little boy named Jonas who lives in a dystopian society to free himself from hatred, crime, and sadness. The story depicts some of his events and experiences through his assigned job. While some of his friends are assigned to regular jobs, Jonas is selected to be the receiver to keep the memories of the past from the Giver through different senses and how his experiences and events have impacted him.
Process
Part of the creative process was to combine photography that I took to create the overall illustration for the book. This creates an understanding of the plot and further emphasizes the story.
